The sun is setting on the meandering Hiwassee River in Reliance, Tennessee.  Fall colors surround the old barn still used for storing hay gathered through the summer.  The antique spreader is almost forgotten now, except perhaps for a covey of quail nestled beneath it's rusting wheels that provide some shelter from the cool evening breezes.  The past is preserved for us once again, reflecting the many farming generations before us throughout this beautiful valley.
