As Spring brings its varied array of new blossoms to
the South, one of the loveliest is "Wisteria". The type of Wisteria vine
seen growing here is native of China. Graceful clusters of bluish-lavender
and pink flowers, resembling pea blossoms, are sometimes one to two feet long
and droop from a heavy screen of foliage. The hearty vine climbs here to
great heights on Georgia pines near Rome. |
