Picturesque rural American landscape is a favorite of Ben Hampton.  The complex of old farm buildings situated on the creek between Ooltewah and Snow Hill was familiar to the artist as he fished there often as a young boy.  He vividly painted from memories of his youth and truly yesteryear is reflected.
